DETR's Office of Disability Employment Policy offers immediate access to quality, customized services and products from community-based training centers through the Nevada State Use Program.

The Program gives preference to community-based training centers for the purchase of commodities or services for state, county, and local governments, and university and community college systems.

The program gives governmental agencies the opportunity to bypass the competitive bid process and negotiate with a community-based training center on a fair market price for goods and services, such as office supplies and cleaning services.

The community-based training centers provide training and employment opportunities for mentally or physically disabled persons. In Nevada, centers are responsible for overall management of their contracts with public entities. The centers also provide supervision and monitoring of workers to ensure quality and timely service.
