Nevada State Rehabilitation
Council
The mission of the Nevada
State Rehabilitation Council
(NSRC) is to help ensure that vocational rehabilitation programs (Bureau
of Vocational Rehabilitation and
Bureau of Services to the Blind and Visually Impaired)
are consumer oriented, consumer driven, and that the programs' services
and resources result in employment outcomes for Nevadans with
disabilities.
The Council may assist you
or others in the community in the following ways:
- Help disabled
individuals obtain services which may help them become employable.
- Put employers in
contact with disabled individuals who may fill their staffing needs.
- Receive and relay
client experiences about the state or the community vocational
rehabilitation programs.
- Receive and relay
ideas about improving vocational rehabilitation services.
Council
meetings are held at least quarterly, teleconferencing between
Carson City and Las Vegas, so that members unable to travel may
attend.

Council Composition
The Council has a minimum of 16
members as required by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended. The
number in parentheses indicates the minimum representation from various
constituencies. The category and current members follow. Individuals
