Elizabeth moved to Las
Vegas, Nevada with her family at the age of seven. She was raised in
Las Vegas, attended Bishop Gorman High School and the University of
Nevada Las Vegas. After working for some time in Las Vegas as a
mortgage banker, Elizabeth returned to school to attain a degree in law.
In 1995, Elizabeth attended the University of San Diego School of Law
and received her Juris Doctor in 1998. While attending USD, Elizabeth
joined Women’s Law Caucus as a member her first year; was appointed to
the board as the fund-raiser her second year; and elected as Chair in
her third and final year. As Chair for Women’s Law Caucus, Elizabeth
led and directed an organization that included nine other board members
and approximately 130 members.
After graduating law school, Elizabeth returned to Las Vegas to practice
law. In March of 1999, Elizabeth joined the Honorable Judge James C.
Mahan as his law clerk overseeing a 3,000 case docket. Elizabeth’s
primary responsibility was to review all motions and other submissions
to the Judge and to perform independent research as necessary so that
she could brief him on the facts and the law involved in each matter.
Upon completing her clerkship with Judge Mahan, Elizabeth joined the law
firm of Jones Vargas where she worked for 3 ½ years before opening her
own law practice in April of 2004; Ghanem & Sullivan, LLP. Her primary
practice of law is commercial/civil litigation. |
