Michael Peltyn was
recently promoted to the position of Vice President of Staffing for
Project CityCenter. Michael will oversee the recruitment and
selection process for 15,000 employees expected to be hired at the
property. His responsibilities include the development of
strategic recruitment programs, application technology and process, as
well as the design and operation of the physical hiring facility.
Prior to this promotion, Mr. Peltyn held the position of Director of
Staffing at Bellagio, overseeing staffing functions at Bellagio, MGM
Mirage, and New York-New York. His major accomplishments included
directing the recruitment and selection process for Bellagio's Spa
Tower, developing targeted programs to offset employee losses to
competitors, directing the company's management training program, and
promoting diversity in the workforce. Prior to that, Michael held
the position of Recruitment Manager and was part of Bellagio's
pre-opening management staff. Michael started his career as a
graduate intern at the Mirage in 1991. He went on to earn
progressive promotions in the Human Resources Department until his
transfer to the Bellagio in 1997.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Hotel
Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has
been a member of the Governor's Workforce Investment Board since 2003. |
