Kathryn LeBlanc
received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Campbell University
in Buies Creek, North Carolina as a Presidential Scholar, and
then received a Masters of Science Degree with a concentration
in Rehabilitation Counseling and Vocational Evaluation from East
Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, Kathryn worked as a
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for Virginia Department of
Rehabilitation Services serving adults and transition students.
In addition, Kathryn developed a specialty focus serving
individuals who had experienced a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
and coordinated services with members of The Mill House – the
first TBI Clubhouse Program located in Richmond, Virginia.
While in Richmond, Kathryn was appointed Assistant Professor of
Rehabilitation Counseling in the Department of Rehabilitation
Counseling, School of Allied Health Professions, Medical
College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University as a
mentor to graduate students.
Upon moving to Las Vegas, Kathryn provided vocational
rehabilitation and life skills training to individuals with
disabilities who were homeless while working for Father Joe’s
MASH Village. Prior to Kathryn’s current employment at the
Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation's
Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) as a Rehabilitation
Counselor she wrote a Memorandum of Understanding between Nevada
BVR and Father Joe’s MASH Village.
Kathryn is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified
Vocational Evaluator (CVE), and a member of the Association for
Persons in Supportive Employment (APSE). |
